2013 美国都市区失业率排名
美国的都市区 (metropolitan statiscal area) 是多个相邻城市的集合,大致相当于中国地级市的概念,都市区里的市 (city) 或镇 (town) 则大致相当于地级市里的区。当然美国总人口比中国少很多,分布也相对均匀,都市区一般不能跟地级市比人口。
笔者认为对于地区性的统计,用都市区比用市镇更合理。维基百科上列有美国本土381个都市区,但是笔者查阅政府网站后发现,其中少数已被取消或合并。另有几个网上很难找到数据,所以这里只列出366个。
本文数据来自劳工部统计局发布的 2013年6月美国失业率报告。该报告除了366个都市区,还有6个新英格兰地区类似都市区的 NECTA,笔者略去了这6个 NECTA。
就业指数是笔者自创的一个概念,其数值表示该地区比多少百分比的其他地区更容易就业。比如就业指数为一百分的俾斯麦是失业率最低的地区,零分的尤马是失业率最高的地区。
